Engineer, Cast Resin Transformers Design
Since 2022 at SGB
I currently work as an engineer in the technical department for cast resin transformers, but SGB has been with me throughout my entire academic career.
In 2025, I earned my master’s degree in mechanical engineering from OTH Regensburg, with a focus on fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics.
My first contact with SGB dates back a few years: In 2021, while I was still a student, I completed a six-week summer internship in transformer assembly. I’ve been closely connected to the company ever since. As my studies progressed, I held various roles at SGB: First, during a mandatory internship, where I also came up with the initial ideas for my thesis. Thanks to the great collaboration with my team leader, this led first to my bachelor’s thesis and later to my master’s thesis – both in the field of fluid simulation. Between the two theses, I worked as a student trainee in the same department to further deepen my knowledge and get to know the products and processes even better.
My day-to-day work is varied, pleasantly challenging, and above all, exciting.
It’s varied mainly because of the wide range of individual customer requirements and projects. No two days are alike, and that’s exactly what keeps things from ever getting monotonous. Due to the diversity and uniqueness of the technical solutions we develop, hardly any two products are alike.
What makes working at SGB special for me is the relaxed atmosphere among colleagues, as well as the diversity and uniqueness of the technical solutions we develop. Hardly any two products are alike. This can be challenging, but it constantly puts my technical understanding and skills to the test.
After work, I love being outdoors.
I enjoy spending time with friends in Regensburg’s parks or pursuing my great passion, cycling – whether after work or on the weekends.
