Learn more about Annalena

HR Business Partner, Human Resources
since 2020 at SGB

Please introduce yourself briefly

My studies (Bachelor's degree in Business Administration) took me to Regensburg, and in March 2020, I started working at SGB as a working student in human resources. From my bachelor's degree through to the end of my master's degree in Human Resource Management, I worked as a working student at SGB until April 2023, for a total of over three years. I also wrote both of my theses in cooperation with SGB.

After completing my studies, I was able to join SGB-SMIT GmbH in Group HR in May 2023 and returned to the local HR team at SGB Regensburg in September 2023, where I continue to work as an HR business partner.

Why did you decide to join SGB?

I decided to apply for the working student position at SGB because I was very attracted to the range of tasks described. My expectations of the position were more than exceeded, especially because I was able to learn so much and was given my own responsible tasks even as a working student.

After completing my studies, I stayed at SGB because I feel very comfortable here. Despite the strong growth of the company, I like the short communication and decision-making channels, the opportunity to help shape things, and the family-like environment.

Describe your typical workday in three words

Varied, communicative, goal-oriented.

There is no such thing as a typical working day for me, as every day is different and brings new challenges. In general, in my role as HR Business Partner, I am the point of contact for managers and their employees for any questions and concerns relating to their employment relationship. I accompany the entire employee life cycle, from personnel requirements analysis and recruiting to employee support, personnel development, and exit management. As the central interface between management and existing and potential future employees, my daily work is strongly influenced by communication, with the aim of always understanding and meeting the needs of both sides.

What makes SGB special for you?

For me, it's the whole package: the exciting tasks, the friendly atmosphere, and the helpful colleagues who are always on hand to answer questions and always have a good joke up their sleeves. You can work independently and get involved at any time – and on an equal footing.

What do you most enjoy doing to unwind after work?

For me, nature and spending time with friends and family provide a balance to work. In summer, I usually take a trip to a nearby lake or go for a ride on my gravel bike around Regensburg.

In winter, on the other hand, you'll often find me on the ski slopes.
