Project Manager, Power Transformers Sales
Since 2022 at SGB
My name is Andreas, and in 2022 I had the opportunity to write my master’s thesis in mechanical engineering at SGB. After completing my thesis, I joined the sales team as a project manager in early 2023, where I managed projects with frequent customer interaction. In June of this year, after 2.5 years, I transitioned to our team’s proposal management role. There, I handle the preparation of proposals for all inquiries received by our team.
I first learned about the thesis opportunity through my university’s job portal. During that time, my colleagues welcomed me warmly, and I found my time at SGB to be very educational.
The dynamic nature of the industry and the drastic turnaround in 2023 ultimately sealed my decision to stay at SGB.
Blood, sweat, and tears
That was a joke, of course! My daily work combines relaxed, routine tasks with new and exciting challenges that offer plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Communication with my colleagues at SGB and with our clients forms the foundation of my work.
For me, SGB strikes the perfect balance between a family-like environment and exciting opportunities for professional growth and development.
Personally, it’s also important to me that, through my work at SGB, I can contribute to the energy transition during these times.
After work, I like to spend my evenings with my friends and family, either at home enjoying a good home-cooked meal, or sometimes out on the town for a beer after work.
