Electronics Technician, Housing Assembly Cast Resin Transformers
since 2017 at SGB
In September 2017, I began my training as an electronics technician for machine and drive technology at SGB, which I successfully completed in January 2021. I have been working for the company ever since and am celebrating my eighth anniversary this year.
After completing my training, I was hired in the housing assembly department for cast resin transformers, where I still work today. In addition, I have been supporting the “GT” parts production department for around two years.
In May 2025, I successfully obtained my AdA certificate and am currently completing further training as an industrial master electrician, which I expect to complete in May 2027.
Housing installation, wiring, creativity.
My daily work involves installing cast resin transformers in protective housings, as well as installing and wiring electronic components on the transformer or housing.
The work is often very extensive and individual, as housings are both modified and completely assembled and disassembled.
Since the work is often heavily focused on individual customer requirements, it requires creativity and the ability to manufacture enclosures and transformers in designs that have not yet been implemented.
One of my most exciting experiences at SGB was working in the GT service department, where I was involved in assembly work in data centers, installing housings for transformers.
I recommend my profession to anyone who is interested in technology, enjoys learning new things, and likes working in a team.
My biggest hobby is playing the drums. For several years now, I have been playing in my own rock/punk rock band, “DeadMotherAngels.”
We rehearse about twice a week and perform between four and six times a year.
