Instructor, Training Workshop
Since 1980 at SGB
I have been with SGB since 1980. I first completed a three-year apprenticeship as an electrical machinery technician, after which I was hired as a plant electrician. Starting in 1985, I worked as a skilled worker in active component assembly, with assignments as a field service technician. Starting in 1990, I worked in the cast resin department, then in the power transformer winding shop, during which time I earned my master craftsman’s certification. Since 2003, I have been working as an instructor in the training workshop.
Appreciation, Knowledge Transfer, and Patience
I am responsible for ensuring that the vocational training program for electronics technicians in machine and drive technology runs smoothly. I also handle the organizational aspects of the training (exams, scheduling, collaboration with vocational schools and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, delivering course content, etc.)
One was the decision to pursue an apprenticeship after passing my master craftsman’s exam – that was absolutely the right choice. It allowed me to develop both personally and professionally. Another absolute highlight was the redesign of the 2024 training workshop. Thanks to the renovation, expansion, and renewal of our equipment, we can now offer our apprentices a modern training environment that really stands out.
This apprenticeship is ideal for people who enjoy working with young people and have a fundamentally positive attitude toward them. It’s also perfect for those who are committed to continuous growth – both professionally and personally – who take joy in supporting and helping young people develop in the workplace, and who are passionate about sharing their knowledge with the next generation.
I enjoy spending time outdoors (whether gardening or just getting out into nature).
My greatest passion is music: I love playing the accordion, or Styrian harmonica. It helps me unwind after a long, hard day at work.
Sometimes I play at birthday parties, club gatherings, or social events like the Sonnenzug.
