Trainer, Training Workshop
since 1980 at SGB
I have been with SGB since 1980. I first completed a three-year apprenticeship as an electrical machine fitter, after which I was hired as a company electrician. From 1985, I worked as a skilled worker in active component assembly, with assignments as a field service technician. From 1990, I worked in the casting resin department, then in the power transformer winding department, taking my master craftsman's examination in between. Since 2003, I have been working as a trainer in the training workshop.
Appreciation, knowledge transfer, and patience.
I am responsible for ensuring that the commercial training of electronics technicians in mechanical and drive technology runs smoothly. I also organize the training (exams, resource planning, cooperation with vocational schools and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, teaching content, etc.).
First, it was the decision to start training after completing my master craftsman's examination - that was absolutely the right choice. It allowed me to develop both personally and professionally. In addition, the redesign of the training workshop in 2024 was an absolute highlight. Thanks to the renovation and expansion, as well as the renewal of our equipment, we can now offer our trainees a modern training environment that is truly impressive.
The job in training is for people who enjoy working with young people and have a fundamentally positive attitude towards them. It is also for people who want to continuously develop themselves (both professionally and personally), who enjoy supporting and developing young people in their working lives, and who are passionate about passing on their knowledge to young people.
I enjoy spending time in nature (gardening and going out into the countryside). My great passion is music: I like to play the accordion and Styrian harmonica. It helps me unwind after a hard day's work. Sometimes I play at birthday parties, club celebrations, or social events such as the Sonnenzug festival.
