Electronics technician for machine and drive engineering, Electrical Maintenance,
since 2021 at SBG
I started my training in industrial electrical engineering at SBG on September 1, 2021. I knew early on that I had a knack for technology and practical work, and during my training I confirmed how much I enjoy this profession. I work in a very structured, reliable, and goal-oriented manner, which has enabled me to develop both professionally and personally throughout my training. I have been a permanent member of the maintenance team since February 12, 2025, and I am delighted to be able to contribute and further deepen my knowledge on a daily basis.
Reliability, enthusiasm for technology, willingness to learn.
During my training, I had the opportunity to learn about many different areas, from electrical engineering basics to system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. What particularly impressed me was how much trust was placed in me and how much I could rely on my team.
I quickly realized that I could grow not only professionally, but also personally: working independently, taking a structured approach, and being willing to learn something new every day were things that stayed with me throughout my training. I also particularly enjoyed supporting other trainees; team spirit was always a central part of my training for me.
The most exciting moment for me was probably when I received the news that I had been named the best apprentice in the Saxon metal and electrical industry for 2024/2025 in the “industrial electrical profession” category. This honor means a great deal to me because it shows that my commitment and willingness to learn have paid off.
The transition from training to permanent employment was also something special for me. New tasks, new responsibilities, and at the same time the good feeling of continuing to be part of a team where I feel comfortable.
