Certificates

Since 1993 SGB Regensburg and SBG Neumark have been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001. In 2002 they were also certified according to the Environmental Management System DIN EN ISO 14001.

Due to the partnership of SMIT and SGB a common certification of the locations Regensburg, Neumark and Nijmegen was carried out in 2003.

Since 2007 the Occupational Safety and Health Management System of SGB has been certified according to OHSAS 18001. In 2002 the certification of Royal SMIT's SCC-system was performed for the first time according to SCC** (2008/5.1).

Our plant in Malaysia (AM SGB & SGB CR) is also certified according to ISO 9001. The certification for ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System and ISO 18001 – Safety Management System, is planned for 2012.

We undertake to observe the statutory regulations, in particular those regarding environmental protection and occupational health and safety and to work in accordance with technical rules, on the basis of economic principles.

The observation of the requirements deriving from the Integrated Management System and its ongoing improvement is the duty and mission of every staff member. We intend to support our staff by disseminating information and conducting training courses, to encourage them to participate actively and to display their own initiative to achieve an ongoing and increasing awareness of environment and quality.

Our products are developed with high quality and environmental standards, short and reliable delivery periods and with fair market prices in mind. In all our processes we aim to generate a deserved level of profit. At the same time, we strive to avoid or reduce negative environmental impact and to protect our staff against any harmful effects.

  • By acting responsibly and prudently and by implementing technical and organisational measures we intend to avoid negative environmental impact and an endangering of the health and safety of our staff and customers through accidents or faulty products.
  • In order to protect natural resources we will use them sparingly wherever possible and reduce the consumption of materials, energy and water.
  • In order to reduce the impact of waste our principle is to avoid producing it in the first place. Waste that has been unavoidably produced will be recycled.
  • By informing and communicating with our contractual partners and the relevant authorities we will strive to include them in our efforts to improve environmental protection.
