Compact Substation and Kiosk Transformers

Compact substations from the SGB-SMIT group are distribution systems that ensure stable distribution at local level all over the world and control the transition from the medium-voltage to the low-voltage grid. Compact substations that are equipped with SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) which is a system for remote monitoring and control that operates with coded signals over communication channels. Due to its importance for power distribution, our group member SGB MY has long been striving to develop its own compact substation made in Malaysia, also in order to be listed as a vendor to the energy company in East and West Malaysia and also for local market.

Proud to announce that SGB MY are now qualified and certified for compact sub unit SCADA equipped. The pre-fabricated substation are manufactured with high quality check components. SGB substation are equipped with 500kva & 1000kva capacity and 11kv class of transformers. The offered substations can be used widely in industries and power plants for controlling as well as monitoring power distribution. These substations are particularly economic, effective equipment’s and friendly solutions with easy and safe to operate.

Apart from the introduction of compact substation with complete HV and LV protection solution SGB MY has also delivered its first kiosk substation into market of Australia with LV protection with MCCB. The kiosk type is a very peculiar requirement with bunded transformer with oil containment. The kiosk is fully designed locally by the engineering team in SGB MY, the product has already been offered to various other client within the market of Australia.

SGB MY has achieved a great success with the inclusion in the national utilities supplier list and this was only possible thanks to the great teamwork of all those involved in the project.
