On schedule, individual and customer-driven: Retrasib successfully completes exemplary order.
Early this year, we reported that Retrasib SA, the Romanian member of the SGB-SMIT Group, had won a comprehensive order for autotransformers for a grid operator. And now, our colleagues in Sibiu have already brought this especially sophisticated order to a great conclusion: in June, the last of a total of seven 250 MVA transformers was delivered and connected. SGB-SMIT offer their congratulations – not only because the order has been completed successfully, but also because Retrasib has set a new milestone in their history by this achievement.
These transformers are the largest ever built by Retrasib for export. The customer specifications for all seven transformers were realized by the in-house design office and verified in close cooperation with SGB Regensburg. And finally, the transformer design was adapted so as to comply with the regulations for rail transport, as due to its size, the transformer had to be transported by train.
One of the most important aspects of this order was the tight time schedule specified by the customer. In this respect, too, Retrasib performed as a "dedicated partner" by continual coordination with the customer, by meeting time milestones and by continuously driving the project.
Upon the subsequent delivery to the customer, who operates transmission networks in Eastern Europe, Sibiu is already considering follow-up orders. Not without reason, as by this order, the crew of Retrasib has again demonstrated their competence for transformers which are individually designed to meet the specifications of key accounts.
